Design a concept for a fictitious company specializing in fresh Dutch herring. This company would like to reach a new target market by finding new ways in which herring can be enjoyed/consumed.
Create a concept for a new herring product, choose a name, define a target group, and design a label that can be applied to an existing type of packaging. Include 3 moodboards visualising the company, the target group, and the concept.

the result:
For this assignment, I designed the concept, ‘ZILT: gezoutte haring in zeewater’ (ZILT: salted herring in seawater). Focused on young alternatives -a.k.a. hipsters-, looking for an authentic product with a new twist, the ZILT product-line consists of 3 different intensities of salted herring, mild zout, middel zout, and dubbel zout. Each intensity level is designed to pair perfectly with a different variety of specialty beer.  ZILT: het perfecte hapje bij de vrijdagavond borrel!
